NACM President Robin Schauseil announces her intent to retire effective May 31, 2026

Over the past 37 years, Robin Schauseil has witnessed tremendous growth and positive change within the NACM organization, and she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to its success. In discussing her career, Robin said, “It has been an extraordinary privilege to serve as President of this association since 2002 and to have been part of the NACM National staff since May 1988. I am so proud of the national association we’ve built together and even more proud of how we’ve built it: with a strong sense of responsibility to each other and to the members we serve, with integrity and with passion. Our single focus has been on the credit professional.”

Robin has always expressed a deep sense of gratitude to her entire team for their support, encouragement, dedication and camaraderie, making her work at NACM so enjoyable and memorable. Over the years, she worked alongside some truly exceptional individuals and experts, focusing on strengthening NACM’s professional designation and executive education programs. Whether it was creating a nationwide structure for NACM’s Credit Business Administration or Credit Business Professionals programs, working side-by-side with credit professionals to reengineer the content of NACM’s books, or helping to create and launch NACM’s Credit Managers’ Index and NACM’s Credit Learning Center, Robin’s relentless pursuit of excellence in content has served as the guiding force in her career.

The advance notice of Robin’s retirement will allow time for a smooth leadership transition. She is fully committed to working with the Board to ensure a comprehensive transfer of responsibilities and institutional knowledge to her successor. During this period, she will focus on completing ongoing initiatives and documenting key processes to facilitate continuity of operations.

“I want to express my sincere appreciation to the Board, our members and our staff for their unwavering support throughout my tenure,” said Robin. “The collaborative spirit and dedication to our mission have made my time here both rewarding and meaningful.”
