Susan Coyle-Avaritt, CBF, senior credit representative at Land O’Lakes Purina Feed LLC (Camp Hill, PA), recently earned her Credit Business Fellow (CBF) designation. This designation illustrates that achievers are knowledgeable about and have contributed to the field of business credit by first earning the CBA designation and completing additional course work. “I have been in my current role for about 12 years and felt it was important to enhance my understanding of the legal side of credit to hone my skills,” Coyle-Avaritt said.

Coyle-Avaritt faced challenges during the course with determination and an open mind. “I learned that business and credit laws are much more involved than I realized,” she said. “I also learned not to doubt myself and my dedication to continuing my learning journey. It’s rewarding when you accomplish something that you didn’t imagine you could. I am very proud to have earned the CBA and CBF designations and I hope to someday pursue the CCE designation.”

💡Study tips: Set specific times that you will study each week. “Make time to set yourself up for success and find a quiet place to study so that you can focus,” Coyle-Avaritt said. “Read the questions carefully and use the process of elimination. Also, take each module and try to apply it to your daily work experience. If you can relate it to your core duties, you are more likely to remember it when it’s time to take the exam.”
