No matter your industry, continued education is key to career fulfilment and success. With a designation from NACM’s six-level Professional Certification Program, credit professionals can boost their expertise, enhance their credibility and sharpen their skills to thrive in the B2B credit field.  

Christine Billings, CCE, CCRA, assistant credit manager at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC (Collierville, TN), said that earning the Certified Credit Executive (CCE) designation was a personal goal of hers for the past two years. “It demonstrates to myself and my company that I am committed to becoming as well versed as possible in the credit industry,” she said.  

During her journey, Billings learned to maintain a healthier work-life balance. “It’s rewarding to become better at time management, especially because agriculture is a seasonal industry,” she said. “I’m lucky to have the opportunity to work with others in the future, and I appreciate all that NACM does to help us stay current with both new and existing topics in credit.” 

💡Study Tips: Find a method that works for you and stick to it. “I learned that by using dedicated time that I set aside for learning, and focusing on recounting what I had just studied worked the best for me,” Billings said. “At the time, some coworkers of mine were starting their educational journey with NACM, so talking to them about our classes and supporting each other was extremely beneficial.”
