As the complex world of business credit remains constantly in motion as markets and geopolitical risks evolve, education is a critical resource for professionals looking to stay on top in the field. Earning a professional certification through one of NACM and FCIB’s Professional Certification Programs is an opportunity to not only deepen your understanding of business credit, but to boost confidence in the dynamic field.

For Ibrahim Medhat, CICP, senior credit collections analyst for Polyfab Plastic Industry (Ajman, UAE), earning his Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) designation was a chance to demonstrate his commitment to excellence within the field.

While he embarked on the journey looking to learn more about credit, Medhat found that he also learned a lot about himself. “I learned so much about credit management strategies and best practices, which was incredibly valuable,” Medhat said. “But honestly, I learned even more about myself—like how to manage my time better, stay focused and push myself to achieve my goals. It was a fantastic learning experience overall.”

The experience not only elevated his expertise in the business credit world, but empowered Medhat. “I feel incredibly accomplished,” Medhat said. “My confidence is boosted and I have a great opportunity to open new doors in my career.”

Medhat’s journey came with challenges and victories, as he dived deeper into the world of international credit. “I started with intensive study and meticulous preparation and I faced the challenge of managing my time between work and study,” Medhat said. “But achieving my goal and passing the exam successfully was a huge victory. The greatest success was the feeling of accomplishment and self-confidence after receiving the certification.”

In the end, all the late nights of studying were worth it for the feeling of accomplishment. “My favorite part was the feeling after I finished the exam and knew I had passed,” Medhat said. “A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I felt so relieved and happy. Receiving the certificate was an unforgettable experience.”
