Stacey Caballero, CBA, market credit manager II at Ferguson Enterprises LLC (Lakewood, NJ), decided to pursue her Credit Business Associate (CBA) designation because of her recent transition from accounting to credit. “At first I was super anxious but was pleasantly surprised with how much information I remember from taking finance and accounting,” Caballero said. “The support I received from NACM staff when it came to direction, follow ups and easing my anxiety was fantastic. And the courses offered as refreshers were extremely helpful.”

It is important to have confidence in your own ability and to not doubt yourself. “One word can make a huge difference in what the question is asking you,” she said. “But it’s important to not psych yourself out or look at the timer while taking the exam. You have to take your time. Overall, completing the courses and passing the exam has helped my confidence significantly.”

💡Study Tip: “Do not cram! Your brain cannot retain it all in one weekend.”
