Designations can provide many benefits for your company and your customers. They demonstrate both credibility and professionalism in the credit industry. Alfredo Rivas, CBA, credit analyst at Walters Wholesale Electric Company (Brea, CA), said his journey to earning the Credit Business Associate (CBA) was both challenging and rewarding. “One of my favorite parts of the experience was the depth of knowledge I gained in understanding credit principles and financial analysis which overall helped me expand my skill sets,” Rivas said. “The most challenging part for me was studying for the CBA exam. The exam puts everything you learn all in one test, so studying for the exam may seem overwhelming at times.”
Credibility is an essential attribute for both your company and your customers. Holding a certification can also give customers the confidence in knowing they are working with an experienced professional. “Earning the CBA felt rewarding,” Rivas said. “It proves not only to other people, but to myself that I have learned all the material that was given to me. I’m looking forward to earning my Certified Business Fellow (CBF) next!”
💡Study Tips: Always ask questions. Learning from other people is your biggest source of information. “It is important to read and gain new information when possible. Don’t be afraid to ask others for help.”
