Member Spotlight: Checking All the Boxes
In the B2B credit industry, continuous learning is essential. Credit professionals must master a wide range of topics, from financial analysis to customer service. Designations through NACM’s Professional Certification Program, offer a pathway to gaining the major skills and knowledge needed for this dynamic profession.
Lorielle Champagne, CCE, regional credit manager at H&E Equipment Services, Inc. (Arlington, TX) said earning her Certified Credit Executive (CCE) designation was the next step in her education journey with NACM. “I had been wanting to achieve it as the CCE is a pretty prestigious designation to have,” she said. “It just confirmed my knowledge and expertise in credit and collections as well as business.”
Champagne was able to apply her real-life experiences in class and during the exam. “These are things that I deal with in my day-to-day throughout my career,” she said. “I also learned about subjects I didn’t work with daily like international trade credit.”
For Champagne, knowledge is power. “Anybody that is interested in obtaining their designations, it’s well worth it,” she said. “Take the classes, study and obtain the designation at each level. It does nothing but strengthen you personally and in your career path.”
💡Study Tip: Review the study material thoroughly. Champagne used the study guide on the NACM website to succeed in the course. “I took a lot of practice tests on any area that I felt shaky on and made sure to study those areas,” she said.
