NACM's motto throughout the years has been driving results. It's what B2B credit is all about. One of the ways we do that is by giving our members the chance to educate themselves and earn respective designations. A designation we offer that drives amazing results is the Credit Business Fellow (CBF) designation.

The CBF designation is an academic, participation-based designation which illustrates that achievers are knowledgeable about and have contributed to the field of business credit after having earned their CBA designation and completed additional course work.

It takes work, but the reward is worth it. Take it from Blayke Johnson, CBF, CCRA, assistant credit manager at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC (Fresno, CA), who earned his CBF last November in order to strengthen his knowledge in credit.

"Business law and credit law were challenging but they supplied me with a lot of new information like the steps to be taken in certain situations and the legal process of it all," Johnson said. Johnson earned his CBA and CCRA in the same year.

Nothing compares to the feeling after receiving the designation. "It feels good knowing I worked really hard on it," Johnson said. "I was nervous about the exam but when I passed, I felt both excited and relieved. Since I've received it, I've had numerous situations in my daily work where I've used what I've learned from the course."
