NACM’s Certification Program Provides Opportunities: Member Spotlight

Many professionals seek opportunities to grow and learn through educational programs. NACM's Professional Certification Program is designed to amplify those opportunities for credit professionals.

"With my personality, I'm always looking for ways to better myself and better my professional career," said Graham Brockway, CBF, credit manager at Ferguson Enterprises (Liberty Township, OH). "My boss who has his CBF suggested it and I thought it was a great idea and a great way to take advantage of the free time I had in training while also not taking on too much."

Despite having a lot on his plate, Brockway made sure he allocated the necessary time each week to maintain a steady pace throughout the course. "I think the program is a great way to refresh concepts that we don't touch on as often," Brockway said. "It's really easy to get lost in the weeds of your day-to-day and the course itself helps refresh you on a lot of those key concepts that are important to understand."

Taking new courses to perfect your expertise provide constant ways to improve yourself, said Brockway. "There's a lot of reading required in the course—and the information you do retain will help you out and give you more knowledge to build upon in your profession," he added.
